I've always been unsure what the texture would be like with the breadcrumbs. I love golden syrup, though, so I need to just dive in and give this a try. You haven't steered me wrong yet. :) I have never made treacle tart, though I’ve read many a recipe for it. I’ve always been unsure what the texture would be like with the breadcrumbs. I had the pleasure of eating at the British Larder just after the snow last year in December. The Game tasting was so good that my Father inlaw had it for his started and main course, you may remember!? I think the Scotch egg did it! The Venison salami with celeriac remolarde was jaw dropping, and the duck rillets was in a different class to say Terriors! The salad garnish in itself was a slap on the face with watercress, diced apple, diced celery, herbs, caramelised walnuts, baton crispy pork belly and micro leaf. A simple salad you may say but the taste and texture was out there! After chatting to you about foraging I mentioned the Larder on our Company blog if you would like to have a look sometime? All I can say is the Woodbridge community are very lucky people! Colum Hi Madalene and Ross,

Interesting to hear the difference that the provenance of the breadcrumbs make. The pics are gorgeous.
