Local, fresh produce is definitely the best, no doubt about that. And there's nothing better than peas straight from the pod. My other half won't touch vegetables of any description. I tried to get him to try peas from the pod but he wasn't having it. Out of interest, what part of Hertfordshire are you from? My mum was from St Albans.

New season peas you can’t beat them – I’m growing several generations on my veggie patch but they are a little way off yet, I will try this when they fruit!! Yum

Love the post. Love the photos. Love the recipe. Need help with the “until you’re happy with the texture” direction.

Daniel thank you for your comment, I have now changed the method so that it’s a bit more descriptive.

“Place the washed podded peas in the thermomix bowl, add the oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and cumin. Crush the peas by pressing the turbo button a couple of times until the peas are crushed but not completely pureed. Your looking for the crushed peas to still have some half bits of peas. I like my crushed peas to have a course texture. However this depends on each individuals taste. If you like a smoother texture pulse a couple of extra pulses.”

Daniel I hope that this helps. If your peas are as fresh as what mine where then they need very few turbo pulses.
